Whitney makes big decision about her pregnancy in EastEnders
There are spoilers in this article for Wednesday’s (January 3) episode of EastEnders, which is now streaming on BBC iPlayer but hasn’t yet broadcast on television.
After stating unequivocally that she didn’t want to have any more children, Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) of EastEnders recently made the shocking revelation that she was expecting.
Whitney made a big decision about her pregnancy
Whitney was unsure about what to do, even though boyfriend Zack Hudson (James Farrar) regarded this as their second chance following the devastating death of daughter Peach over a year earlier.
Due to their divergent desires for another child, the couple had already spent a great deal of time debating what their future would include after losing Peach. Eventually, they decided to become foster parents.
But Whitney found out she was pregnant while taking care of their first foster kid, and she quickly told Zack everything.
Although Whitney wasn’t so sure, he made it apparent that he believed this to be a sign.
Whitney volunteered to encourage Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) when she took a pregnancy test and gave a shoulder to cry on when the result came back negative. Sonia had been thinking that her IVF treatment had worked and that she was pregnant.
Whitney felt that everything made sense now, and she understood precisely what she wanted to do.
She sat Zack down and told him about the shame she had felt for helping the distraught Sonia, and that she was all too familiar with her suffering.
She told Zack that she didn’t believe she could go through the agony of wanting something and having it brutally taken away, as well as how horrible it was to have anything taken away from you.
Zack was devastated when she told him that she didn’t think she could carry the child to term and apologised to him.
Will Whitney and Zack’s relationship last given that they have very different goals in life?
