Vinny lashes out at stunned Gabby amid virginity panic in Emmerdale
Vinny and Gabby have grown closer
Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) has left Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) in tears after shutting down their relationship in Emmerdale.
Poor Vinny was left devastated recently after misreading the situation with Gabby and leaning in for a kiss.
Gabby explained he’d got things wrong, and a flustered Vinny then realised that the whole thing had been a set-up, with Mandy (Lisa Riley) and Paddy (Dominic Brunt) intervening to try to perk up his love-life two years on from his wife Liv’s (Isobel Steele) death.
However, it actually transpired that Gabby really does have feelings for him, and asked step mum Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) for some advice.
Vinny and Gabby have grown closer
At the scrapyard, the two enjoyed a kiss and seemed to be on track to be the village’s hottest new couple – but another hurdle was soon to hit them.
In tonight’s (13th June) episode, Vinny opened up to Gail (Rachael Gill-Davis) with his worries about losing his virginity.
This is something which has been addressed in the ITV soap before, with Tom King (James Chase) belittling him for never having sex with his wife, who was asexual.
Luckily, Gail was on hand with some… er.. diagrams, and an unusual comparison between a woman’s anatomy and a dartboard.
We’ll let you work that one out for yourself.
Liv’s brother Aaron (Danny Miller) arrived and was less than impressed to hear of Vinny’s sex life being blurted out over the Woolpack kitchen table.
Vin was worried that his brother-in-law might consider it disrespectful to Liv’s memory, but he actually urged him to move on. During a candid discussion about his late partner Jackson Walsh (Marc Silcock), he opened up about his own difficulty in being able to move on following his death.
Luckily, in that instance, Liv gave him the support he needed to move on and consider his happiness – something which Aaron passed onto Vinny.
With a newfound sense of hope, he met up with Gabby, who was insistent that they should ‘seal the deal’ and head back to Home Farm for some afternoon fun. Little did they realise, Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco) was at home, and they were forced to scarper to Wishing Well Cottage.
Describing the Dingle homestead as like a ‘drop-in centre’, Vinny tried to put her off the scent but she wasn’t taking no for an answer, causing him to lash out and assert that they were only friends.
Will they be able to repair their blossoming relationship?
