Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris) is set to make a tragic exit in upcoming EastEnders scenes in the midst of a harrowing murder story.
Following the collapse of the cafe floor, the discovery of Keanu Taylorā€™s body causes plenty of drama and speculation among the Albert Square residents.
Viewers will remember that Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) stabbed Keanu to death on Christmas Day, with The Six later burying his body beneath the cafe.
Since then, they have tried their best to keep the secret, with only Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) discovering the true extent of events on that fateful night.
Bernie is set to leave the Square behind
One person who is particularly affected by the discovery of Keanuā€™s body is his sister, Bernie, and the residents are quick to gather around her in her hour of need.
Poor Bernie has been really struggling in Keanuā€™s absence, believing that he had held The Six at knifepoint on Christmas Day before fleeing, as the women had told police.
FollowingĀ Sharon Wattsā€™ (Letitia Dean) arrest in upcoming scenes,Ā Phil MitchellĀ (Steve McFadden) speaks up in defence of her, which leaves Felix Baker (Matthew Morrison) pointing the finger at him.
With Karen Taylor back in Spain, having given up her search for her missing son, Bernie decides to pay her a visit, in order to break the awful news.
Karen moved abroad with the rest of the family just before Christmas, after being framed by Keanu for Albieā€™s kidnap.
After charging a ransom of Ā£50,000, Karen took the money and ran, much to Philā€™s horror.
Will Bernie ever return to Albert Square, and will Karen join her?
