Terrified Lauren gets the shock of her life as Zack aggressively loses it with her in EastEnders

Things are about to kick off… again!

There’s further turmoil ahead for Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) and Zack Hudson (James Farrar) in EastEnders next week as he struggles to deal with Whitney Dean’s (Shona McGarty) exit.

Earlier this week, at Zack and Whitney’s wedding, his affair with Lauren was exposed by Britney Wainwright (Lola Campbell) in front of all of their friends and family.

In dramatic scenes, Whitney viciously lashed out at the pair, whilst Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) cheered her on to hit them again!

Classic Walford drama.

The aftermath saw Whit realise that her adoptive mum Bianca (Patsy Palmer) knew about the fling, and realising that she needed a fresh start, she moved away to live with her brother Ryan in Wakefield.

Boarding a bus to King’s Cross with Britney and her baby Dolly, she waved goodbye to her nearest and dearest as Bianca, Zack and Lauren watched on from afar.

In upcoming scenes, the neighbours are still rife with speculation about the events, and Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) offers her fair share of spiteful comments towards Lauren.

Meanwhile, Zack has hit the bottle and is drowning his sorrows at The Albert.

Felix (Matthew James Morrison) tries to reach out to Sharon (Letitia Dean) and Martin (James Bye) to take him home, but when they don’t answer he’s forced to employ Lauren instead.

Back at his flat, he tries to make (another) pass at her, and is furious when she admits her role in Whitney’s decision to move away.

In a shocking outburst, Zack screams in her face and Lauren rushes to her ex Peter (Thomas Law) for support.

Realising how shaken and upset she is over the altercation, he charges over to No. 3B to tear a strip off him but finds him in tears, horrified at his drunken actions.

Appreciative of Peter’s unconditional support despite their differences, Lauren agrees to spend the night with him – which once again raises Cindy’s eyebrow.

Will Lauren and Zack ever be able to recover from their actions?
