His death was confirmed by his girlfriend Courtney Paulshock who remembered him as her “soul mate” in a heart-wrenching Facebook post.

“I am shattered. I’m in shock,” she wrote on Sunday.

“I can feel my heart breaking.”

Paulshock said that Schaldach was racing in Eagle Pass, which is about two hours west of San Antonio, when he wrecked his car.

His friends helped get him to the hospital, but his life couldn’t be saved.

Paulshock didn’t specify how Schaldach wrecked or what led up to the crash and said that she didn’t want to share more details.

“He gets to see his mother and sister again, and I know that made him so happy,” his girlfriend wrote.

“He went out doing what he loved.

“I was truly blessed to know the kind of love that Nathan gave me and showed me on a daily basis.”

Schaldach starred in Season 4 of Street Outlaws: Fastest in America — a show where eight drag racing teams fight in a tournament for a $100,000 prize.

His season aired last year in May.

The show is a spin-off of the original series Street Outlaws, which gives an inside look at street racers who risk their lives to compete in the dangerous sport.

Drag racing usually involves two cars racing on a short, straight track toward a finish line.

Though professional leagues are relatively safe, street racing is risky, which is why most states have made it illegal.

Schaldach’s death came after fellow Street Outlaws star Ryan Fellows died in a car crash in 2022 while he was filming the show.

The driver’s car rolled and caught fire during a race in Las Vegas, and a Discovery representative said the network was heartbroken over the loss.

The U.S. Sun has reached out to Texas police to get more information on Nate’s crash.

Racing is a very dangerous sport, and we all know that any ride can be our last

‘NEVER LOVE AGAIN’

Fans and friends of Schaldach have shared their heartbreak and condolences online after his sudden death.

Chris Frank, a friend of Schaldach, said he barely slept all night after hearing the devastating news.

“Those of you who raced him feared him, and those of you who were friends with him loved him,” Frank said in a video on Facebook.

“Racing is a very dangerous sport and we all know that any ride can be our last.

“Nate was one of the last true racers with true passion and understanding for the sport.”

Paulshock shared one of Schaldach’s now heartbreaking final texts and said that she would love him until the end of time.

Before starting what would be his last ever race, the driver texted his girlfriend and said, “Garth told me to tell you I love you very much just in case tomorrow never comes.”

Paulshock shared a screenshot of the text and wrote, “Someone please wake me up from this nightmare.”

Later on in the day, she posted the Lady Gaga song I’ll Never Love Again from the movie A Star Is Born.
