Stacey Slater revisits sordid Max Branning affair and makes stinging commentary on bedroom performance in EastEnders

Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) has always had a penchant for Brannings in EastEnders, and every single one of those relationships has ended in disaster.
Her most recent foray saw her strike up an affair with detective Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) behind Denise Fox’s (Diane Parish) back, and that too recently came to a dramatic end.
The couple first slept together before Christmas, but decided to carry on with the affair, despite Denise’s declining mental health.
In recent scenes, Stacey finally realised the affect their affair would have on Denise and decided to end things, but not before sharing a goodbye kiss with Jack.

Unfortunately, it was at that moment that Martin Fowler (James Bye) decided to walk in, and Stacey was forced to admit to the affair.
It didn’t take long for the rest of the family to find out, and soon a huge brawl had erupted.
With both Stacey and Jack having upset their families deeply, it didn’t take long for them to turn on each other too.
After running into each other in Peggy’s – an interesting choice of drinking establishment given that it’s Chelsea Fox’s (Zaraah Abrahams) place of work – Jack told Stacey that sleeping with her was the worst mistake of his life.
Stacey retorted that she thought ‘being a bent copper and putting your daughter in a wheelchair might top that’, leaving Jack furious.
Stacey wasn’t finished their though, as she lamented how men never seemed able to take responsibility for their actions, and it was always the woman who got the blame.
She soon reflected on her previous affair with Max Branning, which was exposed in equally dramatic fashion, and admitted that Jack was just the same.
However, she made the cutting commentary that actually, Max was better in bed. Ouch.
With Stacey and Jack having turned everyone they love against them, will they ever make it up to them?
