In recent weeks, EastEnders viewers have seen Sonia’s worries get the best of her and she grows resentful of her pal Whitney Dean.
The beloved nurse played by Natalie Cassidy has been keen to have a child with Reiss (Jonny Freeman), despite the hurdles they’ve had to encounter throughout their relationship.
Once she found out Reiss was sterile following a pregnancy scare that left him convinced she’d been cheating on him, Sonia and her beau agreed to turn to IVF to have a baby.

However, in emotional scenes, Sonia’s receives some unexpected news as she attends her embryo implantation appointment with Reiss.
Sonia will be left disappointed by a revelation from the doctor.
Sonia recently revealed her plight following their fertility struggles and confessed to Reiss that Whitney is pregnant and that she feels guilty for the jealousy she holds because of it.
Reiss suggested that she should start journaling her feelings.
