Sharon Watts’ return plot revealed as she arrives back in Walford in EastEnders
Disaster strikes just as the blonde bombshell returns.
DEVASTATED following the death of Keanu Taylor, Sharon Watts fled the Square to pay Michelle Fowler a visit in Australia.
But after months of absence, the EastEnders legend played by Letitia Dean finally returns to chaos next week as Keanu’s body is found.
Sharon Watts vanished from Walford shortly after Keanu Taylor was stabbed to death in front of her by her best pal Linda Carter.
The pub landlady killed Keanu in her own boozer when he wrapped his hands around Sharon’s throat, furious to learn that he wasn’t Albie Watts’ biological father.
However, Linda (Kellie Bright) wasn’t alone when she committed the act as Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) and Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) were also present, although Suki was trying to revive her husband Nish.
The Six teamed up and disposed of Keanu’s body underneath Kathy’s café but the thought of losing the man she loved was too much to bear for Sharon and, as mentioned above, she left Walford alongside Martin Fowler.
Both characters fled to Australia, where they spent time with Michelle Fowler.
The market trader came back to the Square in recent scenes of the London-based program and, next week, it’s time for Sharon to follow suit.
Coming up next week, Linda nurses a hangover in The Vic before the family are interrupted by Sharon who has returned from Australia.
Upstairs, it’s tense between the pair as Linda worries that Sharon is angry with her following the events of Christmas.
Instead, Sharon panics when she learns that the meat thermometer, which Linda used to stab Keanu in the back, has gone missing.
She is then horrified to learn that Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff), Linda’s son, knows about what really happened at Christmas.
Sharon calls a crisis meeting, terrified everything could be coming to a head for the Six.
Later on, Linda is shocked when she is unexpectedly presented with the meat thermometer and chaos ensues at The Vic.
However, the women are soon relieved to know the murder weapon has been found and Sharon agrees to dump it.
Unbeknownst to them, the floor in the café has just caved in, threatening to expose all of their secrets… and Denise’s necklace, linking her to the crime.
All hell breaks loose as Keanu’s body is soon found and Sharon gets a visit from the police.
What will she tell them?
EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
