Reiss Colwell’s day of disaster in EastEnders after 𝕘un h0rr0r, prison mishap and rows with show legends

Reiss has not had a good day

Poor Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) didn’t have the best day in recent EastEnders scenes, thanks to Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer).

Reiss has been worried about his finances in recent days, having lost out on a few clients, meaning that he is desperate to pick up business wherever he can.

After asking Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) if she needed help in the cafe, she directed him to Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), who needed help with the books in the Arches following Ben’s departure.

Determined to get the job, Reiss worked hard with partner Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) to prepare his presentation, and he was all ready to go – until Bianca chimed in.

When she found out that Reiss was interviewing for a job with Phil, she was quick to tease him by asking if he’d been practicing how to use a gun. Though Sonia encouraged him to ignore her, it was clear Bianca had left Reiss rattled.

At the Archers, Reiss was put under pressure when Phil chose to use the analogy of bodies being buried in order to describe his finances – leaving the poor accountant flustered.

Following his pitch, Reiss asked if it could be written into his contract that he wouldn’t have to use a weapon, due to his poor hand-eye-coordination, before insisting that he didn’t want to end up in prison.

Flustered, Reiss insisted that he meant no offence, given that Ben is currently behind bars in the US, which only frustrated Phil more.

Before the mechanic could announce that the interview had been unsuccessful, Reiss decided for himself that the job probably wasn’t for him, before scurrying away.

Later, Reiss found an intoxicated Bianca in the pub, and revealed that it was her fault he’d missed out on the opportunity, thanks to her winding him up earlier.

As Bianca continued to belittle him, Reiss lost his temper and snapped back that it was clear why Bianca’s children didn’t want anything to do with her.

Horrified, Bianca told Reiss he would be a rubbish dad, which was the final straw for him. Storming back home, Reiss demanded that Sonia tell Bianca that she was no longer welcome to stay – but will Sonia see her sister homeless?
