Pierce Brosnan Celebrates 71st Birthday With Thoughtful Message: “Where Does The Time Go?”
If there is one thing that is consistent in life, it’s just how strange the passage of time can be. Pierce Brosnan just celebrated a monumental 71st birthday, but over seven decades around the sun has him wondering just one thing: where did all that time go in a blink?
The months leading up to Brosnan’s birthday, which he celebrated on May 16, have been as busy as ever for the GoldenEye star. 2023 was a year packed with film projects and 2024 is already proving just the same, with Brosnan currently filming three projects.

After Brosnan officially celebrated his 71st birthday on May 16, Brosnan took to Instagram to share his gratitude in light of another year of wonder and—in particular—support from his many fans.

“Brand new day,” he posted. “Thank you one and all for your rewarding words of celebration for my work and my seventy first birthday last week.” He went on to wonder, “Where does the time go these days? It goes with the speed of flame.”
Brosnan then shared a message to his fans, beseeching them, “Love life, kindness and precious time be with us all. Peace.”
The actor’s work is never done
Brosnan was celebrated by his wife of over two decades, Keely, who also took to social media to share words of love for him. “Happy Birthday to the love of my life @piercebrosnanofficial,” she gushed on Instagram. “You are my rock, my anchor, my everything … and I love you endlessly.”
According to The New York Post, Brosnan was working on the film Giant earlier this spring. The movie is a sports film that explores the importance of friendship in the world of athletics. At one point, Brosnan was seen looking totally transformed in a tracksuit and a shock of white hair, all while appearing frail, playing Irish boxing trainer Brendan Ingle who helped “Prince” Naseem Hamed rise to greatness.
Filming is taking place in Yorkshire, England, according to PEOPLE.
His other projects for this year include Unholy Trinity, Four Letters of Love, and Black Bag. In the latter two, his credited role is pending but in the first one, he is listed as playing a character named Gabriel Dove.
