Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) is set to hide a big secret in upcoming EastEnders scenes, but he can’t do it alone.
Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton) is set to run the London Marathon alongside Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) in the coming weeks, so she decides it is time to go shopping for all the best gear.
With Billy having promised to accompany her, she is left annoyed when he ends up ditching their shopping date.
However, when Jay covers for him, it becomes clear he is up to something – but what is he hiding?
Billy is hiding something
Jay and Honey were both surprised to find out they would be running the London Marathon on Christmas Day, when the late Lola Pearce made the revelation in a special video message.
Since then, they have been training hard alongside Peter Beale (Thomas Law) in preparation for the big event.
In a unique twist, actors Emma Barton and Jamie Borthwick will be running the marathon for real, filming small scenes in character along the way.
While Emma is running for Children In Need, Jamie is supporting Prostate Cancer UK.
Speaking about the opportunity, Emma said: ‘It’s an absolute privilege to be taking part in this storyline and to be running the London Marathon for a second time.
‘I’m thrilled to be running on behalf of BBC Children In Need, an amazing organisation that does so much for kids across the UK.’
Jamie added: ‘I’m so honoured to be taking part in the London Marathon. EastEnders is a London show, and as far as I’m aware, we’ve never shown it before on screen so I’m really excited to be a part of it, although I swore I would never run it again after the last time!’
With Honey set to take on the marathon, could Billy’s secret be a surprise for her, or is he up to something more sinister?
