Matthew also reminded Levi to stay vigilant yet authentic. “Be aware of your surroundings, be yourself. Enjoy the journey,” advised the veteran actor.

Matthew’s penchant for giving advice is well-known in the family. During an appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” in December 2023, he recalled finding an old magazine photo of three-year-old Levi and a quote he had given expressing his hope that Levi would be “cooler” than him.

Matthew explained to Levi that this meant he hoped his son would excel at being true to himself, even more than the acclaimed actor was striving to do. This guidance proved particularly timely when Matthew revealed that he and Camila had allowed Levi to join social media.

Matthew explained their decision, affirming Levi’s readiness for this new digital phase. “We thought he was ready,” the actor explained in September 2023. He shared that he and his wife had deliberated for two to three years about the challenges and benefits of social media before allowing their son to join.
