Maisie Smith speaks out on own EastEnders return ahead of Patsy Palmer’s comeback

Maisie Smith has teased a possible return to EastEnders, three years after her exit.

The actress, 22, found fame on the London-based show at just six years old, playing the feisty Tiffany Butcher.

After leaving the show in 2014, she made a brief comeback in 2016 before returning on a more permanent basis in 2018.

During her most recent stint on the show, Tiffany had a rocky on-and-off relationship with Keegan Baker (Zack Morris), before moving to Germany with him to stay with brother Liam.

When asked if she could see herself heading back to Walford, the former Strictly Come Dancing star told OK!: Not at the minute, no, but it’s one of those places, you just never know.

‘There’s always a place to go back to, but not right now.’

This comes after it was confirmed that Maisie’s former onscreen mum Patsy Palmer, 51, will be back on Albert Square as Bianca Jackson as her step-daughter Whitney Dean is leaving Walford.

On Patsy’s return Chris Clenshaw, Executive Producer said: ‘I’m thrilled to welcome the fabulous Patsy back to the iconic role of Bianca Jackson.

‘Although the character was last seen on-screen in 2019, Bianca still remains a fan favourite.

‘We know our audiences will be thrilled at her return as she is thrust into the heart of the drama alongside step-daughter Whitney.’

Bianca’s return will premiere in a special episode focusing on Whitney and the drama she faces when she and partner Zack Hudson (James Farrar) pay a visit to Milton Keynes.

Bianca first landed on our screens in 1993 as the fiery, sharp-tongued daughter of Carol Jackson and remains heavily connected to Walford through the Branning family and two of the show’s much-loved characters, step-daughter Whitney and sister Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy).
