Kim Fox’s EastEnders exit storyline revealed as Tameka Empson leaves soap
The beloved character gets a huge opportunity.
WHILE her sister Denise struggles to cope, Kim Fox is ready for a new chapter in her life.
The EastEnders favourite is due to leave Albert Square next week for the chance of a lifetime with Howie Danes.
Denise Fox is at the end of her tether as her marriage with Jack Branning continues to crumble and she keeps a massive secret about Keanu Taylor’s disappearance.
Meanwhile, Denise’s sister Kim Fox (played by Tameka Empson) has been going above and beyond to support her by trying to make her come to terms with the end of her marriage.
However, in scenes due to air on BBC One next week, Kim gets a surprise of her own as her partner Howie Danes (Delroy Atkinson) reveals he has been offered a three-month job on a cruise ship.
Kim, who has had her own experiences with anxiety, fears that Howie’s head will be turned on the cruise.
Determined to reassure her, he invites her on a photo shoot for the company to show her there’s nothing to worry about but his idea falls flat when Kim meets his boss, ‘Rory’, who is a dead ringer for Kim.
When news reaches the group that ticket sales are down, Kim offers advice on how to solve the crisis with her social media knowledge.
Regular viewers of the London-based program will remember that Kim worked hard on a social media influencer career before it was compromised by a car accident which she took the fall for.
Her efforts clearly pay off later on as Rory is impressed and offers Kim the job as social media manager on the cruise.
But while Kim and Howie may be over the moon about their upcoming trip, Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) gets into trouble at school.
This prompts Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) to explain to Kim that he’s acting out as he’s scared about being left by her and Howie.
In other scenes, Kim feels terrible that they didn’t notice, and she and Howie decide to stay in Walford.
But when they speak to Denzel, he reassures them he’ll be fine and encourages them to go.
However, Kim faces another hurdle as she becomes concerned for Denise’s (Diane Parish) mental well-being.
Kim does her best to be the shoulder Denise may need to lean on and she tries to talk to her about her mental health.
This leads her to reason that she might be experiencing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) after witnessing Nish Panesar nearly die in front of her in The Vic.
But when Kim mentions Christmas, it triggers Denise, and she rushes off.
Worried sick, Kim decides not to go on the cruise, but Denise eventually convinces her that she’s just upset over her fragile marriage to Jack and demands she goes.
Will Kim see right through her?
Could she even decide to bring Denise along with her to clear her head?
Will Denise tell her the truth about Nish Panesar’s attack – which she was responsible for – and Keanu Taylor’s death?
