Kerry Wyatt hit by bombshell after cruise ship scam returns to haunt her in Emmerdale
Will Kerry's problems disrupt her daughter's big wedding day?
KERRY Wyatt is set to be left shell shocked after her involvement in a ‘cruise ship scam’ comes back to haunt her.
Fans of ITV soap opera Emmerdale have loved having Laura Norton back on screen as Kerry Wyatt ever since she turned up in the Dales dressed as Cher.
Having been away for over a year, her friends and family were shocked to discover that her job aboard the cruise ship she was working on was actually as a Cher tribute act.
But Kerry appeared to be hiding a secret about her time on the ship after she was accused of stealing cash and thousands of pounds worth of expensive jewellery from the boat.
Ever since, viewers have seen Kerry ignore mystery phone calls from someone eager to get their hands back on what Kerry has taken.
In order to use all the cash up, Kerry has been happily splashing out on designer shoes and bags and extremely pricey items.
Covering up that she had been given a compensation payout, those around her purely believed that Kerry has just been lucky and found herself in the money.
With her newfound cash, Kerry insisted she would fork out for daughter Amy’s wedding day to Matty.
Kerry said she could cover the cost of the venue hire from Kim Tate as well as employing wedding planner Suzy to help out with the finer details.
However, in upcoming scenes, Emmerdale fans will see Kerry run in to some cashflow problems that soon prove to be a nightmare and have ramifications across the village.
As she realises she does not have the cash to cover the big day, Kerry realises she must sacrifice the prize diamond necklace that she acquired aboard the ship.
She prays that its total value will bring her the money that she needs to pay Kim and Suzy for their work.
With Kerry off trying to sort the issue, wedding rehearsals get underway but Kim is unable to stand-by and watch on without having had any payment.
She soon insists that the fees need paying up front.
In bad news for Kerry, she recieves the bombshell news that the necklace is actually worth nothing of value and comes away with hardly any extra cash.
With it becoming clear that she can’t afford to pay for the wedding, Kerry knows it is time to come clean.
The next day, on the morning of the wedding, Kerry confesses all and soon the wedding is cancelled.
Matty is left shocked to learn that he won’t be getting married after all.
Despite this, a mystery call on Leyla’s phone changes everything as she announces that the wedding is back on right at the last moment.
But just who phoned Leyla and stumped up the cash?
And should Kerry be left worried that her problems are set to spiral even further?
