Jeff Bridges & His Wife Susan Lived in a Historic 4-Acre Montecito Ranch That Was ‘Severely Damaged’: A Look Inside

Jeff Bridges and his beloved wife Susan Geston once lived at a historic 4-acre Montecito ranch. The property, which now belongs to Oprah Winfrey, used to be “severely damaged” before it was renovated.

Hollywood icon Jeff Bridges resided in a beautiful Spanish-revival-style mansion built by famous architect James Osborne Craig in 1919. However, now the sprawling estate, which spans a sizeable 3,517 square feet on four acres of land, belongs to media mogul Oprah Winfrey, who reportedly acquired the Montecito home for $6.85 million.

Granting residents peace, tranquility, breathtaking views, and privacy, the area of Montecito is hugely sought after by celebrities looking for a sanctuary outside of the glitz and glam of Hollywood.

Jeff aka The Dude and his beloved wife, Susan Geston, initially purchased the slice of heaven in April 2014 for $6.85 million.

After mudslides “severely damaged” the property, renovations ensued to not only restore its original glory but also give it a revamp.

The Golden Globe Award winner listed the home for sale in May 2019 with an original asking price of just under $8 million.

With a few million added to his bank account, Jeff already has a notable net worth estimated at $70 million. Such a fortune is not too surprising as the star began his A-list acting career back in 1958 alongside his father Lloyd Bridges, and his brother Beau Bridges.

While Jeff has countless silver screen appearances under his belt, he is probably best known as The Dude in “The Big Lebowski.”

Aside from his professional endeavors, he has weathered life’s ups and downs with Susan, whom he married in 1977, by his side. Since then, the couple has welcomed three daughters, Jessica, Isabelle, and Hayley Bridges, making them a beautiful family of five.

Drawing back to more noteworthy moments that have transpired in his illustrious career, back in January 2019, Jeff received recognition on top of his other awards, which include an Oscar and a Golden Globe, for his substantial contribution to film at the 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards.

The actor received the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille Award for his impressive career which has spanned more than five decades and is still going strong.
