Jailed EastEnders villain ignores 𝕕ead wife’s 𝕕ying wish

Jailed EastEnders villain Eddie Knight (Christopher Fairbank) has cruelly ignored his wife’s dying wish following her tragic death last week.

Gloria (Elizabeth Counsell) sadly passed away after suffering a heart attack, shortly after revealing her dying wish to son George Knight (Colin Salmon).

She expressed her relief that she was finally going to be free of husband Eddie, and begged George to have her cremated, instead of burying her in the shared plot Eddie had bought them.

With Eddie in prison after being found guilty of the racially motivated murder of George’s biological father, he was furious that George hadn’t phoned to let him know that Gloria was dead.

Eddie cruelly ignored Gloria’s dying wish

Later, George paid him a visit, where Eddie lamented over how he wasn’t there in her final moments, though George assured him that she wasn’t alone.

As Eddie expressed how much he loved her and recalled their first date, George struggled to believe him, given that he had threatened to hurt her before the trial for taking George’s side.

Eddie insisted that he hadn’t meant it, but George revealed how peaceful Gloria had looked without him.

In his anger, Eddie cruelly accused George of brainwashing her, before insisting that she had pitied him rather than loved him, and blaming him for her death.

As if his words weren’t cruel enough, he then insisted that George wasn’t welcome at her funeral.

In retaliation, George revealed her dying wish to finally be free of him for good, but Eddie insisted that as her next of kin, he would be the one to make that decision.

Poor George was left devastated that Gloria wouldn’t get her final wish, and soon headed to an underground boxing ring in order to expel some of his emotions.

However, it soon became clear that he was out of his depth when he was knocked out by his competitor.

Will George be able to find away to grant Gloria’s final wish, or has Eddie won?
