Jack Branning risks his entire life to cover up The Six’s 𝕞urder secret in EastEnders
Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) got quite the shock when he disturbed Stacey Slater and Denise Fox’s (Lacey Turner and Diane Parish) plan to retrieve her necklace from Keanu Taylor’s grave in recent EastEnders scenes.
After failing to come up with a believable excuse as to why they were there, Denise and Stacey finally told Jack everything, from Keanu’s murder to burying him beneath the cafe.
Jack was understandably horrified, and battled over what to do next.
As he pointed out how much his job meant to him, Denise looked terrified – until he revealed that the only thing he cared about more was her.
Jack risked everything by helping The Six
He soon got past his upset that she hadn’t told him sooner when he discovered the truth about Denise’s necklace, and scolded them on the way they had handled the situation, pointing out that they could all go down for it.
As Jack lamented about what happens to police officers in prison, Denise urged him to walk away, though he soon decided that he couldn’t leave them to mess things up and end up taking the full blame.
Though Stacey insisted that Denise wouldn’t have to face the issue alone, Jack refused to let them go any further, and promised to take care of things himself.
After sending them away, Jack got to work further breaking up the floor to retrieve the necklace, but was soon interrupted by the sudden arrival of Bernie Taylor and Alfie Moon (Clair Norris and Shane Richie).
Thankfully, he managed to get away just in time, with Bernie assuming that kids had broken into the cafe.
After reuniting with Denise and Stacey, he presented her with the missing necklace, leaving her relieved, but warned them that the police would soon be onthe way, so they needed to get outside with the rest of their neighbours and act as shocked as everyone else.
By getting involved in The Six’s mess, Jack has risked his entire future – but will he get away with it?
