ITV Emmerdale’s Tom King to be ‘rumbled’ by Cain Dingle after telling scene amid ‘mistake’
Cain Dingle could be onto evil Tom King on Emmerdale
Cain Dingle could be onto evil Tom King on Emmerdale, judging by the latest episode of the ITV soap.
Tom’s lies may be about to catch up with him, as his plans to step up his control over wife Belle Dingle, Cain’s sister, look set to backfire. After losing it over Belle’s recent fib about her whereabouts, he trashed their home before pretending it was a robbery.
But his lies about the break-in and the police’s verdict could catch up with him, with Tom panicked over Cain’s involvement in catching the thieves in the latest episode. On Thursday, fans saw Tom catch out Belle after she claimed to be working late, when she was actually having drinks at The Hide.
Amid Tom’s control and manipulation towards Belle increasing, she is yet to find out he’s installed a tracking app on her phone and he’s watching her every move. So when Tom caught her lying to him about why she was going to be home late, he set her up by heading to the place he knew she was at, before pretending he was collecting a takeaway.
Belle was mortified and Tom guilt tripped her, while acting like he was fine with her staying out in front of her pals. When he got home he completely trashed the house and took her rings off the counter.
In the fallout he claimed they were robbed, and downplayed the theft by acting like Belle’s rings being taken meant nothing. He faked a call to the police and made Belle feel too scared to be in her own home, knowing she would want him around her.
On Friday, Belle sought comfort in her family as Tom deliberately delayed his return to the house after a fake visit to the police station. Scared for her safety Belle ended up going to visit her family, and spoke about the robbery to her brother Cain Dingle.
Tom realised where she was and claimed to have been looking for her, before he suggested the police wasted his time as there was little they could do. He also claimed to have searched for the rings in some pawn shops, but had no luck.
Cain immediately questioned Tom’s claims though, wanting to spread the word about the rings and the robbery to people he knew. As well as wanting to get involved, he said it didn’t make sense that only the rings were taken, and that the police were doing nothing.
He also asked Tom for the names of the pawn shops as if to check up on him, with it clear he wasn’t buying Tom’s story and his hopes to drop the whole thing. Eventually Tom managed to get him to leave things alone, using Belle’s mental health and claiming she was unstable as a means of manipulating him into not taking it further.
Cain appeared to agree for Belle’s sake, but it’s clear he wasn’t convinced by Tom’s version of events. So will Cain end up exposing Tom’s lies and maybe work out Tom’s cruel behaviour towards his sister?
