ITV Emmerdale’s Eric Pollard faces downfall as villager takes revenge after exposing shock lie
Emmerdale's Eric Pollard is finally rumbled next week
Emmerdale’s Eric Pollard is finally rumbled next week after his recent vile behaviour, and someone takes revenge.
Viewers know that Eric has targeted a number of characters recently, with threats and lies and cruel behaviour. Fans began to worry for the character after he underwent a personality transplant overnight, going back to his dark ways from decades earlier.
But he’s caught out by another resident next week, weeks on from a shocking money scam that left one resident disowned. Eric clashed with Jai Sharma recently after blackmailing him over what happened to his father Amit Sharma.
It resulted in a threat from Jai, while Eric had also cost Victoria Sugden her job. But his other lie that caused chaos was when he conned Kerry Wyatt out of thousands of pounds that should have been hers, before demanding money from her she doesn’t even have.
Kerry had stolen a necklace from a cruise ship, and she asked Eric to value it so she could get the money and pay for daughter Amy Wyatt’s wedding. But on the day of the wedding, Kerry was forced to admit she did not have the money to pay for it all, after the necklace was valued as being worthless.
But Eric was in cahoots with a pawnbroker, and the pair realised the necklace was worth thousands and thousands of pounds. Telling Kerry it was only worth about £60, he offered to buy it off her and then suddenly stepped in to cover the wedding as Amy’s saviour.
He didn’t reveal the money he used was from the necklace, and he then had the audacity to tell Kerry she owed him the amount he paid, with interest, knowing full well she didn’t have the cash, and also he’d taken any money she could have had. Next week, the truth comes out, and Kerry takes her revenge.
Kerry is suspicious of the character and the necklace drama, and she sneaks into his house to find evidence. She goes on his laptop and she soon discovers he swindled her by selling her necklace for a fortune.
Raging and wanting what she is owed, Kerry appears to steal from Eric’s home before convincing Tracy to let her run a cash-only sale at the shop. It seems it’s all of Eric’s things, with villagers buying it all – but how will he react when he finds out Kerry has exacted her revenge?
