ITV Emmerdale reveals Rose’s real link to Will and Dawn as true identity exposed

Emmerdale viewers finally learned who Rose was and how she is linked to Will Taylor on the ITV soap.

After weeks of hints about the new character, Rose finally made her debut on Thursday night in scenes with Will. Will took a mysterious phone call before heading off, and lying about his whereabouts to wife Kim Tate.

He soon arrived a the hospital asking to see someone, before he found himself lured into a room where newcomer Rose was sat. Nursing an arm or wrist injury, Rose mocked Will as she made it clear this was the first time they’d seen each other in decades.

All then became clear as we found out more about why Will was there and who she was to him. Will commented he had been contacted as he was down as Rose’s next of kin, and told about her accident.

She seemed bemused by this, but he told her to remove him from her files. It’s then that her past came to light, and Will explained she was the mother of a village resident.

As they discussed her disappearing act decades earlier, Will revealed Rose was the mother of his daughter Dawn Taylor. Rose revealed she and Will had been married, with it clear she’d walked out on them when Dawn was a baby, if not a toddler.

Will fumed as Rose claimed she had “zero regrets” about ditching her husband and her young daughter, as she wanted to “live her life”. When Will asked why she had not even asked about their daughter, she seemed unbothered.

Will lectured her about her vanishing, explaining all about his criminal past and Dawn ending up in care as he could not trace her mother. Rose continued to act unbothered about what she’d done and the fact she abandoned her daughter, with it seeming she had no intention to track her down.

Will told her they meant nothing to each other and he was keen to never see her again, leaving the room and Rose behind. It was announced earlier this month that Christine Tremarco was joining the soap as mysterious Rose.

Viewers had been speculating about her real identity and ulterior motive, with many guessing she might be Dawn’s mother who has never been on the show, and Dawn didn’t really know. Rose was described as bolshy and boisterous and she has spent the last few years in Benidorm.
