ITV Emmerdale fans fume soap has gone too far in vile Tom King scenes as š¯••eath sealed
Emmerdale fans switched off and fumed that the soap had gone too far as they aired some shocking Tom King scenes this evening, with his next target now revealed
EmmerdaleĀ fans were left threatening to switch off – after claiming the soap went too far in vile Tom King scenes.
Tom has managed to manipulate everyone into thinking Belle Dingle has been controlling him, but it is actually the other way around. Ever since they got married, he has been targeting her and gaslighting her into thinking she has been behaving wrongly with him when it’s actually been him who has been controlling her in a harrowing twist.
Tonight, as Belle insisted she was to blame for what happened – and that Tom had only ever been loving to her – he was getting frustrated that she wouldn’t speak to him and tried to find another way to control her, even when she wasn’t at home with him.
At the end of the episode, fans struggled to watch as Tom took out a syringe and told their adorable dog Piper that he was going to hurt the poor pooch. Fans found it difficult to watch and took toĀ Twitter to fume over the scenes.
“Blimey even a dog isn’t safe in that f***ing villageĀ #emmerdale,” one wrote, whilst a second added: “no f***ing way is he gonna kill that dogĀ #Emmerdale.” A third shared: “NO NOT THE DOGĀ #emmerdale,” with a fourth writing: “No! this is too far poor piper leave her aloneĀ #Emmerdale.” A fifth added: “this story line is disturbing,” whilst a sixth wrote: “Oh COME ON NOW. This is beyond sick.”
Things really escalated between Tom and Belle a few weeks back, when we saw the devastating reality of what she was subjected to behind closed doors – after he found out she had been lying about taking contraception.
Eden Taylor-DraperĀ – who plays Belle – warned of the scenes to come, which saw Tom deliberately burn Belle’s hand under hot water: “I think you can expect to see everything escalate throughout the episode. You’ll see how easily Tom can switch on and off and how he truly feels and his anger towards Belle. You’ll get a glimpse into Belle’s terrifying reality.”
Explaining the importance of the storyline in helping people trapped in this devastating situation, she added: “People have reached out which I think is a great sign that everything is resonating in some way.
“So many people go through this and Iā€™m really grateful that Iā€™ve been able to play out Belleā€™s story. Weā€™ve worked with charities and people that have gone through this and itā€™s important that what weā€™re portraying is real.”
