Intriguing Emmerdale scene ‘confirms’ Caleb has a secret connection with village newcomer
He’s always up to something!
If there’s one thing we know about Caleb Milligan (William Ash) in Emmerdale, it’s that he likes to keep secrets.
Shortly after he arrived in the village, we discovered Caleb and son Nicky (Lewis Cope) were busy trying to bring down Home Farm after learning of Kim Tate’s (Claire King) role in Frank Tate’s – Caleb’s father – death.
Most recently, Caleb kept a secret in the form of an affair with Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh).
When it was exposed, Caleb was once again left questioning why on earth he has such a penchant for keeping things hush hush as the Dingles disowned him – again.
He’s always up to something!
In tonight’s (May 9) episode of the ITV soap, Caleb was feeling stressed as a result of Nicky, who wanted more involvement in their business.
Caleb had shut him down and then faced Ruby’s wrath afterwards. She said Nicky just wants his dad’s approval and he doesn’t do anything to help him.
Heading to the pub for a bit of peace, Caleb bumped into Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco).
We met Rose a few weeks ago when she was introduced as Dawn’s (Olivia Bromley) mum and so far, we don’t know a great deal about her.
It was established that Rose left Dawn and Will (Dean Andrews) shortly after the birth because she didn’t want to be a mother. Now, Rose is living at Home Farm and trying her best to fit in with the family, who are facing a stressful ordeal after little Evan was diagnosed with leukaemia.
The scene between Rose and Caleb was small, but so intriguing. Rose picked up on Caleb’s stressed-out vibe and said they could go into the pub for a drink.
Rose told Caleb that she’s a good listener and the look on his face was one of confusion – but why?
After Caleb chatted to Claudette (Flo Wilson) and Charles (Kevin Mathurin), he went into the pub, suggesting that he did have a drink with Rose after all.
If Rose and Caleb don’t know each other, why on earth would they sit down together in the Woolpack?
And of course, if we’re right and they do have a connection, what is it?
