Home and Away’s Cash Newman to receive a desperate plea in new job story

Cash has a very surprising encounter.

Home and Away‘s Cash Newman will receive an unexpected plea for help in upcoming scenes, as his new career takes an intriguing new direction.

Viewers in Australia have recently seen Cash quit his job as a police officer and go in search of new opportunities. He has since secured some work as a private investigator and as a security guard at a shopping mall, but Cash still feels in need of something fresh.

TV Week magazine reports that, in new scenes that will air in Australia next week, Cash emerges from his room wearing a smart suit and tie, leaving his girlfriend Eden Fowler intrigued by how excited he seems.

Cash explains to her that he has a big interview lined up with a potential new client, but he hasn’t been told who the mystery person is, or why they’ve asked for him.

When Cash arrives for his interview, he’s surprised to find himself stepping on board a fancy yacht. There’s a further shock in store when he’s suddenly greeted by famous actress Stevie Marlow (played by Catherine Văn-Davies).

Taken aback, Cash forgets to introduce himself to her, but Stevie doesn’t miss a beat. She’s soon telling Cash that she’s in big trouble and she needs help – fast.

What could Cash be getting himself into?

These scenes will air this week on Channel 7 in Australia and in April on Channel 5 in the UK.

Actor Nicholas Cartwright, who plays Cash, teased at the beginning of this year that there could be a big change coming up for Cash, following the drama of Eden’s kidnap.

“There’s a lot going on for Cash. He is considering a career change,” the actor revealed. “He has always been a police officer in the Bay and I guess he’s becoming a little bit disgruntled with that — there’s a very big change coming for Cash.”
