Home and Away is set to finally expose Theo Poulos’ drug secret.
Theo recently began a secret relationship with newcomer Valerie Beaumont, who offered him drugs to “help with stress” — which has led him down a dark path. Earlier this month, Theo started to have second thoughts in the ongoing drug storyline.
In scenes set to air on Channel 5 on Wednesday, May 22, Thursday, May 23 and Friday, May 24, Valerie is on the phone, trying to get more pills and promising to pay for them later.
She hangs up the call and tells Theo that she couldn’t secure any as they need money upfront.
When Justin meets Valerie and Theo at the coffee cart, Theo asks about Lyrik’s payment for performing at Justin and Leah’s wedding reception. He shares a smile with Valerie when Justin confirms he’ll be paid even though they’re family.
Later, Theo lies to make sure he gets the money in cash, before hugging Valerie when Justin agrees. When they go to meet a dealer, Theo suddenly gets second thoughts about lying to Justin, but Valerie urges him to hand over the money.
Despite feeling guilty over his actions, Theo continues to lie when he tells Kirby he thinks their band should play the wedding at no cost. Kirby instantly agrees, with Theo hiding his regret as she accepts his deception.
However, when she goes to meet Justin, Kirby becomes suspicious when she learns about the money he gave Theo to hire equipment.
Theo then reveals he spent the money on drugs, with Kirby sharing her disappointment as he’s stole from family and compromised the band.
Theo assures her he will pay the money back, but when he goes to tell Valerie about his conversation with Kirby, she gets scared and goes to confront her. Kirby explicitly tells Valerie that she’s a drug addict and needs to get help.
When she threatens to take the pills away, Valerie storms off with Theo hot on her heels. Seeing no other option, Kirby later confides in Justin, who is shocked to learn about Theo’s deception.
Kirby assures him it’s true and that Theo admitted it all to her. She goes on to explain that Valerie has a serious drug problem and Theo is in love with her.
Justin then heads home to look for Theo and ends up sifting through his backpack and guitar case. After not being able to track him down, Justin assures Kirby that they can’t tell Theo’s aunt Leah about this until after the wedding.
