Tammin Sursok has been hospitalised after suffering a head injury following an 'embarrassing' accident
Home and Away star Tammin Sursok has been taken to hospital with a head injury after an “embarrassing” accident.
Tammin, 40, played Dani Sutherland on the Aussie soap from 2000 to 2004 and on Thursday told her fans about the incident, putting up a photo of herself in a hospital bed wearing a neck brace and talked about what happened.
“Please watch video before this post for reference. Things I’ve learnt in the last two days,” she began before listing five things she learned after her accident.
“1: Concussions can happen doing the stupidest things. And when it happens you might have to show or tell the doctor what you were doing. And it could be the most embarrassing moment of your life. 2: Concussions can happen 24 hours after you do that stupid thing, so watch for symptoms. 3: CT scans are weirdly soothing and when pumped with anti nausea medication can make you nap.”

Tammin went on: “4: When you have small kids the ER is like a mini vacation. 5: Neck braces are good to sleep upright so maybe I’ll take one home for the plane,” she added, according to OK!.
Tammin finished by saying: “Thanks for all the well wishes… feeling slightly better. Just a bruised brain and ego. And the scan showed I did have a brain. So that’s good.”
The Home and Away star also shared a funny video about her accident, which happened when she fell out of bed. Fans quickly sent well wishes, with many saying they understood her “embarrassing” accident. One fan commented: “Oh I totally get it! I sprained my ankle stepping on cardboard and then broke my little toe a week later. I hope you’re ok though.”
Another wrote: “Quick recovery! Btw it was a funny video, thanks for the laughs, then the sudden heart drop.” Someone added: “Rest up hope your feeling better soon fyi your video was gold until you hurt yourself,” while another person sweetly pondered, “Why does this make me love you even more?”
After her stint in Home and Away, Tammin relocated to the US where she had success in shows such as The Restless – which she starred in between 2007 and 2009 – and Pretty Little Liars. On the latter show, she played fan favourite Jenne Marshall. Tammin eventually started to miss life Down Under too much and moved back to Australia in 2021.
