Gabby Thomas makes shock decision about The Hide in Emmerdale
Gabby is making multiple enemies in the village next week.
THE Hide is at the core of a bitter feud next week in the Dales after Gabby Thomas chooses a controversial business partner.
Coming up in Emmerdale, the character played by Rosie Bentham ruffles many feathers when she announces a huge decision.
Tired of bumping into Nicky Milligan and watching him move on from humiliating her on their wedding day, Gabby Thomas made plans to leave the ITV Dales in 2023.
The young mother was ready to close a chapter and start afresh abroad after taking some time in Portugal with her son Thomas.
But when Jacob Gallagher suffered an allergic reaction after eating a meal prepared by his former stepmother and Hide chef Victoria Sugden, Gabby’s hands were tied.
Following the incident, the local council decided to investigate the Hide, which pushed Gabby to take it off the market and cancel her plans to move away.
However, this doesn’t stop her from giving one keen businessman in the village a chance.
Coming up next week, Gabby reveals that Amit Sharma (portrayed by Anil Goutam) has bought into The Hide, despite his chequered past in the eponymous village.
Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) is beside himself with anger as he has tried to get rid of his cumbersome biological father for several weeks.
Unfortunately for her, Gabby crosses her stepmother and Jai’s wife Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) with her bombshell.
She later tries to build bridges but Laurel is still clearly irritated.
Laurel claims to foresee trouble for the family as her husband Jai and Amit continue to clash over the business buy-in.
Will they ever be able to get along?
Can Jai move past his aversion for Amit?
Jai found out in 2023 that he had been adopted by biological uncle Rishi Sharma.
Unable to forgive the fact Rishi had kept the truth from him for several decades, Jai went on to tie the knot with Laurel in his absence – only to find out later on that he had died after a fall down his stairs.
It was then revealed that Amit was present at the time of Rishi’s death and Jai became convinced he must have had something to do with it.
Amit has denied any involvement in Rishi’s death but Jai is struggling to believe anything he says and even urged him to leave Emmerdale.
Could Gabby be the one to force a reconciliation?
Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7.30pm on ITV.
