Freddie Slater returns to EastEnders – as he brings another Slater for a shock comeback
Freddie immediately sets his sights on getting a former couple back together
FREDDIE Slater finally returns to EastEnders – and he brings another Slater for a shock comeback.
The character – played by Bobby Brazier – left the Square in dramatic fashion last October after he was arrested for assaulting Stacey Slater’s stalker, Theo Hawthorne.
Freddie headed out of Walford to lay low and spend time with his mum Little Mo, but EastEnders spoilers have revealed his return is imminent.
The scenes see Alfie Moon call Kat Slater about a potential burglary, but he’s shocked when he discovers the culprits identity after hitting them with a toy baseball bat – Freddie is back.
However, he’s not alone, as his great-grandmother Big Mo is with him too.
Big Mo – played by Laila Morse – has been the matriarch of the soap family since they first arrived in Walford in 2000.
She was last seen in Albert Square in 2021 before she departed on a cruise with her fiance, Fat Elvis.
Kat and Jean are delighted at Freddie and Mo’s return, but Freddie feels sidelined when he realises there’s no room for him at Alfie’s and he’ll have to live at No.31.
After one too many comments from the family suggesting her and Alfie are an item, Kat decides to move out so that Freddie can move back in.
However, Freddie is determined to get Kat and Alfie back together and puts an end to Kat’s move.
Meanwhile, Mo sets her sights on Stevie Mitchell before the pair head back to No.31 to continue their evening, much to Freddie, Anna and Bobby’s amusement.
Speaking about her return, Laila said earlier this year: “I’m delighted to be coming home to Walford to bring Mo back to life.
“EastEnders holds such a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait to be reunited with my on screen family, who are like my family, as well as old and new faces.”
Chris Clenshaw, the soap’s executive producer added: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome back Laila Morse to the role of Mo Harris.
Although her time away from the Square has been short-lived, the Slater family has endured a huge amount of drama since she last appeared on screen and Mo’s return will be no different.
“We’re delighted to welcome Laila back permanently as she is thrust into the heart of the drama alongside great-grandson Freddie.”
