Emmerdale’s Nicky star Lewis Cope lifts lid on his David Beckham friendship

Emmerdale actor Lewis Cope has been at the centre of a number of huge storylines since he joined the show back in 2022.
His character Nicky leads Gabby Thomas on as part of a huge scheme involving his father, Caleb. The con was set to strip Kim Tate of her fortune, but Nicky couldn’t go through with it.
More recently, Nicky was left for dead after a car crash with Ethan Anderson. Thankfully, Lewis’ life away from the cameras is a far cry from that of his Emmerdale alter-ego.

Judging by his social media posts, Lewis appears to be in a happy relationship with girlfriend Rachel Lopez. And he’s friends with a footballing legend.
Last year, the 29-year-old appeared on ITV’s Lorraine, where he opened up about his family life. He told host Lorraine Kelly that he is one of 14 children. A stunned Lorraine replied: “Gosh, what must Christmas be like at your house?”
Lewis has a number of brothers who are professional boxers, or former professional boxers, but the sport was not for him. The Emmerdale actor also told Lorraine he has an unlikely friendship with David Beckham.
He said: “That’s what it was about [my brothers and me]. A few years ago he asked me to be in his advert for his fragrance, Bold Instinct. He is such a nice guy.”
It isn’t the only time the pair have worked together either, as Lewis previously also modelled for David Beckham Eyewear, the footballer’s stylish glasses brand.
