Emmerdale’s Mackenzie Boyd staggered to learn that he’s being ‘replaced’ by much-loved favourite
Mack is left in complete and total shock
Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) is in for a shock in Emmerdale next week when he finds himself replaced by a member of his own family.
The much-loved character, as viewers know, has been focusing on looking after wife Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), who has struggled with her mental health after an incident at Christmas.
Woolpack landlady Charity accidentally claimed the life of Damon ‘Harry’ Harris (Robert Beck) in a bid to protect her beloved Mack, who was imprisoned and brutally beat up at the vile criminal’s hands.
The impact of such a thing left her struggling to sleep and having hallucinations, so much so that she accidentally stabbed Mack, who was checking in on her at the time.

The subsequent weeks saw Mack look after her, with Charity telling him off earlier this week for being somewhat overprotective, informing him that she likes the chaos of their home-life.
But with Mack focused on helping Charity, he’s seemingly not been at the garage as much as usual, with next week seeing Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) look elsewhere.
Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) is therefore roped in to help against her will.
The teen isn’t keen on helping out Cain – aptly nicknamed Grumpy by her – that is, until a handsome customer arrives, with sparks soon flying.
Despite her reservations, Sarah seems to enjoy her shift and even agrees to help out further, leaving Cain thrilled.
And he’s not the only one, with Charity later expressing how proud she is of Sarah and her new job. Mack, however, is left upset when Sarah suggests that she’s replacing him at the garage!
It’s been a tough week for former farmhand Mack, with son Reuben having turned one year old.
Reuben, as fans will recall, departed the village with mum Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland), who cruelly used Charity’s ordeal at Christmas as a bargaining chip, ordering Mack to allow her to go with their son – otherwise she would dob Charity into the police, despite the fact that she did nothing wrong.
