Emmerdale’s Jeff Hordley reveals explosive on-screen brawl scenes that needed a ‘fight director’ as affair is exposed
Jeff revealed if it's too late for Caleb to fix things
EMMERDALE star Jeff Hordley has revealed an explosive on-screen brawl will air as Tracy Metcalfe’s affair is finally exposed.
The TV favourite, who plays Cain Dingle, said a fight director was used to ensure the scenes were as realistic as possible.
Tracy has been having an affair with Nate’s uncle Caleb Miligan for months now.
She decided to end her marriage and told a heartbroken Nate that she no longer loved him.
In upcoming scenes next week, Caleb’s wife Ruby decides to interrupt Belle Dingle and Tom King’s wedding reception to announce the affair between Caleb and Tracy to the entire party.
Jeff, 53, has now revealed that an shock fight scene will break out between Nate and Caleb which looks like something out of a film.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Jeff said: “I can say the scene where it [the affair] did come out, it was pretty explosive.
“A lot of people kind of reacted and said they wouldn’t like to upset Jurell [Carter] because be was brilliant, really good.
“We had a fight director, have your ever seen a bar scene where it just kicks off.
“I was trying my best to get Jurell off Will’s character – I don’t know if you’ve seen Jurell, he’s like something from an Avatar film.”
Jeff said there may be no coming back for Caleb this time round as he splits the Dingle family once again.
“It’s kind of a bittersweet thing because for me personally, I obviously love Jurell. Me, Jurell and Will [Ash] share a dressing room.
“And Will is a very good friend of mind and I love that they’ve brought in my brother.
“I’m really gutted they’ve kind of split us up.
“With that said what it’s brought is new characters into the show – such as Ruby [Alicya Eyo] who’s fantastic, you’ve got Will Ash on the show, you’ve got Lewis [Cope].
“You’ve got all these new brilliant actors who make the show even better than it is.”
The huge bombshell will see Cain stuck in the middle – but which side will he take?
Jeff told us at The TV Choice Awards on Monday: “Cain sides with his son, but Nate has also done that with him with his wife.
“So there’s a question that it’s a bit of karma isn’t it.
“Like all Dingles, family is what matters.
“Caleb is trying his best, I think his intentions are right. He’s trying to work his way into the family and do the right thing.
“He genuinely wants to help but he keeps getting it wrong.”
Tracy’s hubby Nate was left devastated when she decided to split up with him out of the blue.
Ruby developed some suspicions that the reason Tracy ended the marriage is because she had been stepping out on Nate with someone.
And she ended up hitting the nail on the head when she guessed that it is her own husband, Caleb, that Tracy is entangled with.
In upcoming scenes, Caleb begs Moira to help him get back into the Dingles’ good books after the affair is revealed.
However, Ruby is furious to hear he is prioritising his family over her as she wants plots her own revenge.
