Emmerdale’s Holly Barton star Sophie Powles secretly welcomes second child

EMMERDALE Star Sophie Powles secretly gave birth to her second child just before Christmas.
The actress, best known for playing Holly Barton, shared her happy news this evening alongside a series of pictures.
Sophie, 35, told her followers: “Our little girl arrived before Christmas making it the most magic one yet.”
She already shares a daughter called Marli Ocean with her partner Mark Waters.
Her co-star Ash Palmisciano commented: “Ah beautiful congratulations to you guysss!”
Another person wrote: “Ah congratulations to you all!! 😍 What a girl gang!”
And a further added: “Congratulations beautiful family, hope you’re all doing well my love.”
The soap star first revealed she was pregnant in July of last year, writing: “Another little friend joining us on our adventures.”
Sophie was first cast in the role of Holly Barton in Emmerdale as a teenager and was initially on the soap from 2009 to 2012.
She then returned to the dales briefly in 2016, before departing again the same year.
The star previously admitted that she felt like a “failure” after having to take a cafe job while looking for acting work.
She also revealed that while working at the cafe people would recognised her from Emmerdale.
She said: “When I was in the cafe a few people would recognise me and be like ‘What are you doing here?’ and I’m like, ‘I need a job, I need to pay my rent.’
“The acting industry is so hit and miss, one minute you could be having the best job and then it finishes and there is no guarantee when your next job is going to be and you just have to accept that and be willing to get your hands dirty and get to work.”
