CHARITY was found trying to flee the village
EMMERDALE fans can breathe a sigh of relief after Charity Dingle and Mackenzie Boyd’s endless will-they-won’t-they marriage finally reached boiling point.
The couple – who are played by actors Emma Atkins and Lawrence Robb in the ITV soap – have been on and off since before they tied the knot.
In tonight’s episode they finally had an honest conversation after Charity fled the village.
Mackenzie panicked and summoned the other Dingles to find Charity.
But she hadn’t got far.
And after Mackenzie her down the couple found themselves in the exact spot they met years before.
They finally had time to have a full and frank conversation about their future with Charity admitting she wanted to leave him so she wouldn’t hurt him again.
But when it came down to it – she couldn’t do it.
“I’m sorry. I thought I could do this,” she said.
“I thought I could let you go. What have you done to me? You are my soul mate. And I’m not sure I can get through this without you.”
Mackenzie told her: “Then don’t. Let me help. You and me are stronger together.”
“I love you,” said Charity, adding: “I hope you know what you’re letting yourself in for.”
The couple are finally back on track but how long will it be before another disaster befalls them?
