Emmerdale spoilers: Vanessa Woodfield left reeling as Tom King makes a shocking accusation
Has Vanessa seen Tom’s true colours?
Having got away with mauling poor Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson), Tom King’s (James Chase) abusive confidence is growing in Emmerdale, and he is starting to feel invincible.
So when he makes a huge slip up at work, he manages to use his powers of manipulation to take control of the situation and turn the tables on Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick).
Tom’s so preoccupied with spying on Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) 24/7 that his work starts to suffer.
With his mind elsewhere, he misdiagnoses a poor old pup as having cancer.
Has Vanessa seen Tom’s true colours?
Just as he’s about to start what could be a very damaging procedure, Vanessa and Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) arrive in the nick of time.
They prevent the inexperienced vet from harming the dog, who it transpires merely has an abscess. But it starts to raise questions for Vanessa.
The customer is utterly furious that their dog was almost given the wrong and unnecessary treatment, and some damage control is needed.
But of course, none of it was Tom’s fault. He is the victim, which he makes well known.
Deflecting the horror of the situation, Tom turns the blame on Vanessa. He spits at her that she has made him feel completely unwelcome since he arrived and no wonder he’s starting to mess up.
With Vanessa absolutely agog at his outburst, Tom invites all of the vets to tea for a bonding exercise. But has Vanessa finally seen Tom’s true edge?
