Emmerdale spoilers: Poison drama rocks the doctor’s surgery
Ella could’ve risked the entire village becoming ill
Ella Forster (Paula Lane) has threatened to poison the entirety of Emmerdale – with Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) on a mission to stop her.
Well, sort of.
Viewers of the ITV soap have long been suspicious of the receptionist ever since she arrived in the eponymous village in January.
Ella first appeared at the vet’s ball at The Hide, where she made a friend in Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley), and later secured a receptionists job at the surgery after an encounter with Manpreet.

She then took intrigue in Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) and Billy Fletcher’s (Jay Kontzle) ordeal with Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) on their wedding day, when she held them at gunpoint on a viaduct.
Other than that oddity, she’s slotted into Dales life and has proved herself to be quite the good egg – which in soapland, often means they’re hiding a deep dark secret.
In tonight’s (15th March) episode, she had a flirty conversation with Dr Liam Cavanagh (Johnny McPherson) at the newly opened Brook Cottage Surgery and said that she’d brought in some plants to brighten up her desk.
Manpreet walked into their conversation and immediately said that her snake plant, otherwise known as a mother-in-law’s tongue, had to go.
She said that the highly toxic plant could cause vomiting or diarrhoea if a patient touched one of the leaves.
We have no idea when Manpreet became a floriculturist, but we’re here for it.
Ella was devastated that she’d made the slip up and worried that it would be used against her to fail her probation, but Liam promised that he had her back.
Later in the day, she retrieved the plant from the bins behind the surgery, which she’d named Sid.
Liam agreed to re-home the poisonous shrub, agreeing to put it in his bedroom out of harm’s way, which delighted her.
Could a relationship be on the cards between Liam and Ella? Or will she begin a sick plan to make him ill?
