Emmerdale spoilers: Paddy Kirk forced to fight for his future – and takes drastic action
He’s got to sort things out! As Paddy gets down on one knee, will it be happy ever after for the couple?
Things have been somewhat strained between Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) and Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) in Emmerdale since Paddy confessed that he and Chas (Lucy Pargeter) had shared a kiss during an emotional moment.
Despite insisting that it meant nothing and she’s the woman he loves, Mandy couldn’t help wondering whether there was more to the kiss than Paddy was trying to make out.
Mandy took the opportunity to have things out with Chas, and a few tense words were exchanged, but this finished with Mandy saying she was keen to draw a line under the whole incident and forget about what had happened.
There’s a further twist in store, though, at Marlon (Mark Charnock)’s party. He lets slip that it was Chas who broke off the kiss and not Paddy. This completely changes how Mandy views the whole situation and leads her to doubt Paddy all over again.
He’s got to sort things out!
Paddy’s down in the dumps about what he’s done to his and Mandy’s relationship. Trying to boost his friend, Liam (Jonny McPherson) tells him he needs to fight for Mandy if she’s the one he truly wants to be with.
Marlon agrees, and Tom (James Chase) says that what’s needed is for Paddy to make a grand gesture and sweep Mandy off her feet.
Paddy decides he’s going to do just that, and give Mandy the fairytale that she’s always dreamed of.
Amelia (Daisy Campbell) takes on the role of fairy godmother and gets Mandy ready, helping with her makeup and making sure she looks stunning in a Cinderella outfit. Then Paddy approaches the salon, dressed to the nines.
‘There’s Paddy, Prince Charming, dressed like James Bond – her absolute ultimate Prince Charming and she finds him so fit,’ Lisa Riley told us.
‘She’s always wanted that fairytale ending. She’s quite juvenile, as everyone knows, so to have that ultimate fairytale, she really does get it. For everything to fall into place it’s the right moment for her to say yes if Paddy was to propose – but we don’t know.’
