Nicky Milligan (Lewis Cope) ends up in terrible danger soon as he’s involved in a car crash with Ethan Anderson (Emile John) in Emmerdale.
Nicky’s life has changed a lot since his arrival to the village. Shortly after we learnt of Nicky and Caleb’s (William Ash) connection, it was confirmed they were working together to bring down Home Farm, and that Nicky was only engaged to Gabby (Rosie Bentham) in order to get closer to information surrounding Kim Tate (Claire King).
After Caleb’s plan fell apart, he became determined to rebuild his relationship with his son. Unfortunately though, if you have a connection with troublesome Caleb, living a life free from stress and drama isn’t likely.
Coming up, Nicky asks Caleb for Nate’s (Jurell Carter) shares to become an equal partner in the business but Caleb only laughs at him.
Disaster strikes
Meanwhile, Suni (Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana) calls Nicky and reveals to him that one of the men who was part of the homophobic attack on them last year is at the same bar he’s in.
Nicky decides he wants to drive there, but Ethan (Emile John) approaches and says he’s drunk too much alcohol, so he’ll drive instead.
As they set off to get to Suni, Ethan spots a police car. He turns around, too afraid of being caught over the limit. However, just as Nicky struggles to get hold of Suni on the phone, Ethan loses control of the car and they crash.
In the aftermath, when Ethan comes round, he carefully pulls Nicky from the car.
He then chooses to hide after spotting a car approaching.
As Moira (Natalie J Robb) discovers an unconscious Nicky, Ethan watches it all unfold – and then chooses to run away.
But where will this leave Ethan if Nicky doesn’t survive the crash?
Will he tell anyone the truth about what happened?
