Emmerdale spoilers: Marriage hits the rocks as a major couple splits in heartbreaking scenes

It was only last summer that Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) and Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) were married in Emmerdale, following a secret rekindling of their romance.
But even in the honeymoon period after the impromptu wedding that saw Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) pronounce them husband and wife, Amy Walsh was already predicting tricky times ahead for the happy couple.
‘It’s like domestic bliss, hit with all the bumps that come with that,’ she warned. ‘There’s a lot of forks in the road.’
Sadly for the couple it looks like a very major fork is about to be reached. It could even be a dead end for the two, as in upcoming episodes Tracy drops the bombshell on Nate that she doesn’t love him any more.

This all comes in the wake of Tracy’s ill-advised affair with Caleb Milligan (William Ash). They’d agreed that it was just going to be no-strings-attached sex, but it wasn’t long before Tracy was dropping the L word in Caleb’s direction. Soon after that, Caleb’s wife Ruby (Beth Cordingly) arrived in the village – and Tracy realised she’d been lied to about how ‘over’ Caleb’s marriage had really been.
Despite Tracy repeatedly telling Caleb how much she loves Nate, it seems her feelings have shifted after the excitement of the illicit affair and she can’t contemplate going back to the every day routine of life with her husband.
Nate is devastated when Tracy tells him she doesn’t love him any more, his feelings turning to anger as he demands to know why. When Tracy won’t answer him he slams out of the house and wanders around the village aimlessly, unable to process what’s happened.
He’s found by Caleb, who reluctantly invites him back to his.
It’s not long before Ruby is involved, and when Nate says he thinks Tracy was seeing someone else she makes it her mission to find out the identity of Tracy’s secret lover. Things get even more intriguing when she realises that Nicky (Lewis Cope) knows more about the situation than he’s been letting on.
