Emmerdale spoilers: Liam Cavanagh and Manpreet Sharma confirm huge news ahead of Paula Lane’s debut

Some exciting news!

Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) and Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) confirmed some exciting news during a chat with Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) in Thursday’s (January 11) episode of Emmerdale.

The two colleagues decided to head to the pub after finishing work early, but bumped into Wendy on the way.

Manpreet and Liam offered their sympathies to Wendy, who is grieving following the sudden and traumatic loss of Heath (Sebastian Dowling), who died after a car crash.

Wanting to distract herself, Wendy was curious as to what Liam and Manpreet had been up to.

Later on, in the cafe, Manpreet, Wendy and Liam were chatting about the process of packing up the business and moving it to a bigger and better location.

The surgery will move into Brook Cottage, the place where Bernice (Samantha Giles) used to live.

This news comes ahead of the arrival of newcomer Ella Forster, played by former Coronation Street star Paula Lane.

We will meet Ella next week when Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) attends a vet gala with Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt).

Eventually, Ella will arrive in the village and begin interacting with other characters. As she gets settled in, the newcomer finds herself involved in an interesting romance storyline while working at the new surgery.

‘There’s already been a relationship going on there at the minute in the surgery’, Paula Lane teased. ‘So I don’t know. There might be some fireworks, there’s a little bit of competition, perhaps. Little love triangle going on.

‘But behind closed doors, who knows what can happen. So there’s a brand new set that we’re actually building, surgery is going to be on Main Street. And that’s when all this character will kind of come in, I’m going to be at the heart of the village, working out the new surgery.’
