Emmerdale spoilers: Ella Forster and Liam Cavanagh affair ‘confirmed’ meaning devastation for ill Chas Dingle

Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) is in a world of pain as she tries to come to terms with her cancer diagnosis in Emmerdale, but at least she’s so far had Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) by her side as she navigates this news.

Shame his attention is about to be stolen by the thought of another notch on his bed post.

Ella (Paula Lane) came into the village like a whirlwind, making an impression on everyone along the way – especially her former boss, who got a face full of drink for his behaviour at their grand event at the Hide and in turn Ella lost her job.

But the savvy beer slinger quickly scored herself another job and was put in place as the receptionist in the new doctor’s surgery.

Liam connects with newcomer Ella

Fresh meat for Liam, who has steadily made his way though most women in the village. As best pal Cain recently put it, ‘How many women have you slept with now?’. It’s a question not even Liam can answer.

But he’s clearly forgotten about Chas – their fling has stalled because of her diagnosis, meaning there’s not much space for romance. But that doesn’t mean she hadn’t wanted things to go further with Liam.

Liam, on the other hand, seems to have written things off.

He’s aware Chas now has bigger priorities, especially as her family now knows and his concern isn’t as needed as it once was.

So he turns his attention to helping Ella settle in. Wendy, of all people, is the one to detect a spark between the two new colleagues. How will Chas react when she finds out?
