Emmerdale spoilers – Drunk Ruby Fox-Miligan causes chaos as the Dingles erupt in all out war

Never a dull day where Ruby is concerned

Since Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) arrived in Emmerdale she’s become massively popular with fans – but not so much with some of the residents of the village.

This is because Ruby knows what she wants and what she wants is Caleb (William Ash). What Caleb currently wants is Ruby, but he also wants to be part of that large, noisy, chaotic clan the Dingles.

For Ruby, having some of Caleb’s attention taken up by relatives whose idea of a good time is to drink beer out of a welly was not part of the plan. She’s done everything she could to prise her husband away from the village and her attempts have often meant that she’s been at odds with Caleb’s extended family.

She’s currently in hot water after accidentally elbowing Chas (Lucy Pargeter) – recovering from a mastectomy – in the chest during an altercation. In the wake of that she had a lot of making up to do and decided to take a different approach by killing the Dingles with kindness.

In upcoming episodes Cain (Jeff Hordley) gets wind of this after she starts giving gifts of air fryers to family members. He warns her that the Dingles can’t be bought, and to underline his point in a typically subtle way he takes a sledgehammer to the offending kitchen appliances.

Chas decides to help Ruby win Cain over and they arrange a gathering. When Cain turns up he’s furious, realising he’s been tricked into attending. Despite this, he’s soon starting to get on to more friendly terms with Caleb.

Seeing that her husband is once again ignoring her in favour of his brother, Ruby launches into a show-stopping karaoke performance and it’s not long before the whole occasion is reduced to drunken bickering and general chaos.

Caleb steps up to defend Ruby – placing himself at odds with Cain, who realises that when it comes down to it his brother’s loyalties lie with Ruby.

Ruby is satisfied with her day’s work, as Cain and Caleb are once again in an all-out war footing and Caleb seems to be more committed to her than ever before.

Has Ruby finally beaten the Dingles?
