For a while there, Samson (Sam Hall) looked all set to be the resident Emmerdale toe-rag until he was completely and unexpectedly humbled by Lydia’s (Karen Blick) horrifying ordeal with Craig (Ben Addis).
As the family now begins to regroup, Samson is ready to get his life back on track.
And Chas (Lucy Pargeter) is right there ready to give him a big old Dingle life lesson to straighten him out.
Samson is working hard to turn over a new leaf after disgracing himself with the way he acted during the Craig/Lydia saga.
Chas tries to help
He’s been making amends with is step-mum – even doing his own ironing (albeit poorly) in an attempt to prove himself.
Having lost the apprenticeship at Craig’s app development company and with it his dream job up in smoke, he’s now gearing up to seize a brand-new opportunity – at the Woolpack.
It might be a bit less glamourous, but it’s a start. Sam (James Hooton) is over the moon to see his son pulling himself together.
But Chas is rubbing her hands with glee at getting her hands on him to start transforming him into an honourable Dingle, and she is ready and waiting to give him a hard time on his first day.
Will he be able to hack Chas as his boss?
Perhaps she’s shaping him up to be the future landlord…
