Emmerdale spoilers: Charity’s life implodes as she makes a gruesome discovery and Cain is horrified
Charity has struggled with her mental health since Christmas
Things have worsened for Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) in Emmerdale after returning home from a night in a police cell.
Viewers have watched in horror as Charity’s mental health has spiralled since accidentally killing Harry Harris (Robert Beck) whilst saving her fiancé Mack Boyd (Lawrence Robb) on Christmas Day.
Harry had attempted to force his daughter Chloe (Jessie Elland) to murder Mack, who he was holding hostage in an old factory.
When Charity and Chas (Lucy Pargeter) found him, a dramatic scuffle resulted in a gun being fired – leaving Harry for dead.

Since then, she has suffered a series of troubling hallucinations and nightmares as she recalled the incident, leading to a potentially deadly situation that saw her attack Mack with a knife.
In tonight’s (February 26th) episode, he woke up to find his family keeping vigil at his bedside and insisted that Charity had done no wrong.
Meanwhile, she woke up in a police cell and demanded she be charged for the altercation.
Mack pleaded with the officers questioning him not to charge her, whilst Charity’s ex Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) headed to the station, demanding them to release her under mental health ground – but he was too late, she’d already left.
Making her way to the hospital, she poured her heart out over Mack’s bedside before heading home to hide away from her family.
As she discovered the blood stain on the carpet, memories of the incident came flooding back.
Cain tracked her down to the house, devastated at the fact the mess hadn’t been cleaned up.
Locking the door behind him, she began to shut the world out, including her own son Moses, and broke into tears.
Will she get the help she needs before her condition worsens and does Cain have a plan up his sleeve to get her back on track?
