Emmerdale spoilers: Charity Dingle violently attacks Moira Barton in showdown following brutal 𝕕eath

Even with news of Harry’s (Robert Beck) death being ruled as accidental, Charity (Emma Atkins) is struggling badly in the wake of killing the criminal mastermind in Emmerdale.

Charity has been suffering from bouts of PTSD since she rushed gun-wielding Harry after discovering he was keeping Mack hostage with the intent on killing him.

The pair fought for the gun, it went off, and Harry was left with a deadly gaping wound by his heart. It’s a moment in time that Charity has relived over and over ever since.

Mack (Lawrence Robb) is also on a downwards spiral and in self-destruction mode since his incarceration, subsequent death of his captor, and the loss of his son after Chloe (Jessie Ellan) reacted to her dad Harry’s death by taking off to France with baby Reuben.

Charity falls apart

Pining for Reuben, Mack has been attempting to distract himself by involving himself in Aaron’s (Danny Miller) illegal car stealing endeavour.

Between them, Charity and Mack are each stuck in a dark place with no help from each other to pull the other one out. Charity is now battling insomnia on top of everything else and through her haze snaps at Moses, raising concerns from Sarah (Katie Hill).

Charity fails to see how badly those around her have been affected. She receives a call from the school revealing Moses has been fighting. She confronts him and he explains he was defending her honour over rumours she’s a murderer. Reality hits Charity about how far the ripples of her actions have spread.

Moira (Natalie J Robb) is disappointed when she discovers Isaac is behind the rumours – especially after what the family went through with Kyle. She decides to suck it up and face Charity head on with a grovelling apology.

A brave thing to do on an ordinary day, but with Charity out of sorts it’s downright risky.

As Moira attempts to clear the air, a loud bang rings out.

Charity is immediately panicked by the sudden noise and as Moira reaches for her, she snaps – violently grabbing her sister-in-law and pinning her against the wall. Charity is clearly not ok, but can anyone get to her before she does Moira some harm?
