Emmerdale spoilers: Charity Dingle aggressively lashes out at Moses as Moira makes a discovery about her own child
Can Moira find a way to get through to Charity?
You know Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) is stressed on Emmerdale when she puts on her yellow Marigolds and starts scrubbing the kitchen and she’s been doing a lot of that lately. Ever since she killed a man, in fact.
Just before Christmas Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) enlisted the help of her dad to get her and her son away from Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb).
But, because her dad turned out to be evil Damon ‘Harry’ Harris (Robert Beck), his idea of getting rid of Mackenzie involved keeping him tied up in a disused warehouse, beating him black and blue and then threatening to kill him.
It was at this point that Charity arrived, and as Harry pointed a gun at her beloved she rushed to intervene and in the struggle managed to shoot Harry dead.
Charity killed Chloe’s dad
Despite the fact that Mack would almost certainly have been dead if she hadn’t done anything, and despite the fact that the police were satisfied Harry’s death was an accident, Charity can’t come to terms with the fact she took a life.
Mack is also struggling, and the two of them are making matters worse by not talking about what they’re going through and trying to pretend that all is well.
The pressure has got to be released somehow, and Charity ends up snapping at her son Moses (Arthur Cockroft) after she’s spent a sleepless night.
Then she gets a call from Moses’ school later on after he’s caught fighting. He reveals that there are rumours going around the school that she’s a murderer, and Charity is horrified that Harry’s death is also having an impact on her son’s life as well as hers.
Moira (Natalie J. Robb), meanwhile, is shocked herself when she finds out that the person who started the rumours at the school was actually her own son Isaac (Bobby Dunsmoir). She rushes to visit Charity to apologise, but when a loud bang sends Charity into a panic, Moira is concerned.
She reaches out a consoling hand to comfort her sister-in-law, but Charity freaks out and pins her against the wall in a state of complete distress.
