Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) have unknowingly landed themselves in terrible trouble after Cain (Jeff Hordley) discovered they had stolen a car from his garage in Emmerdale.

After forming a plan to steal cars and earn money as a result, Mack and Aaron developed a plan in tonight’s (January 11) episode to get their hands on a posh car that belonged to Kim’s (Claire King) business partner.

On the farm, while working with Moira (Natalie J Robb), Mackenzie went to start a tractor up only to realise it wasn’t working.

An idea in his head, Mackenzie pretended that he wasn’t able to fix the problem and asked Moira to get Cain to have a look instead.

Once Cain got the call, he left the garage, allowing Aaron to sneak in and get to work.

Mack kept Cain away for as long as possible but eventually, he returned. As he opened the doors to the building, Mack watched in the background, praying Aaron had got away with the motor in time.

And he did.

After informing Kim that the car had been nicked, a frustrated Cain headed to the pub.

Aaron couldn’t help but mock his uncle over the mistake and later, while outside, he told Mackenzie to stop worrying because the plan had been success.

A smug Aaron had spoken too soon, however, as he failed to spot Cain by the pub door, overhearing the entire conversation.

With revenge on the cards, things are set to get violent.

‘Aaron and Cain are not getting on very well at all at the moment, I think it’s safe to say,’ Emmerdale boss Laura Shaw previously told Metro.co.uk

‘We’ll see some tensions building there between those two leading to a really brutal physical fight between Cain and Aaron in the new year.

‘Which one of those is going to come out on top? Who’s going to win the fight? We’ll have to wait and see if both of them come out still standing.
