Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) was furious in Friday’s (December 15) episode of Emmerdale as she realised baby Esther had been left on her own.
This week, Amelia discovered her dad Dan Spencer (Liam Fox) had been moved to another prison in Birmingham.
The heartbreaking twist left Amelia wondering how she’d be able to visit her dad, knowing it would cost significantly more to travel.
Determined to get her hands on more cash, Amelia decided to do an extra shift at the salon.
Angelica was tasked with looking after Esther
After Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) told Amelia she couldn’t look after Esther, the young mum turned her attention to Angelica (Rebecca Bakes) – Nicola King’s (Nicola Wheeler) daughter.
At home, while Angelica looked after the baby, Heath Hope (Sebastian Dowling) popped by.
Heath put forward the idea of them hanging out which Angelica was interested in, but knew she had to look after Esther.
However, once Angelica noticed Esther had fallen asleep, she took the baby montior and left.
Later on, as Amelia saw Claudette Anderson (Flo Wilson) out of the salon, she immediately became drawn to Esther’s cries.
She raced over to the King household and realised the door was locked and Esther was all alone.
A stressed Amelia confronted Angelica when she returned, who assumed she’d get away with sneaking out as she had the alarm…even though it wasn’t turned on.
Amelia rushed in and grabbed Esther, clearly overwhelmed after this week’s events.
Amelia has received a lot of support from her friends and family since Dan’s arrest earlier this year.
But with the news he will now stay in a prison miles away from the village, suffice to say Amelia is feeling more alone than ever before.
