Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) is facing her first Christmas without her dad Dan Spencer (Liam Fox) at home in Emmerdale, and now it looks like a cruel twist means she may not see him at all.
Dan is currently serving eight years for killing a man with a single punch. After being found guilty, he was hauled out of the dock and Amelia’s life changed instantly.
Not only had she lost her rock, but she went on to lose her home too.
She’s now bunking in with Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) and surviving on what little money she can make and what the pitiful handouts the Dingles manage to give her.
It’s going to be a difficult Christmas
While Noah Dingle (Jack Downham) is still a huge source of support, there’s nothing like spending Christmas day with your dad – but it looks like Amelia’s wish won’t come true.
Amelia comes to the devastating realisation that she can’t afford to visit him as the cost is too great.
She agrees to an extra shift at the Salon to try to cover it, but this presents its own problems as she has no childcare.
In need of a sitter on the cheap, Amelia approaches Angelica and begs her to look after Esther for a few hours. Angelica agrees, but her mind is far from on the job.
Her attention is immediately taken when Heath Hope (Sebastian Dowling) pops up.
Suddenly, looking after a baby is the last thing she wants to do. As she becomes distracted from her duties, will Esther end up in danger?
