Emmerdale spoiler video: Jai seethes as ‘₭iller’ Amit makes huge vow
Jai says his only option to move forward is to fire Suni, much to Suni’s horror
Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) has really been through the mill lately in Emmerdale, and now real dad Amit Sharma (Anil Goutam) makes a shocking vow which is sure to wind him right up.
As Jai still struggles to come to terms with beloved Rishi Sharma’s (Basker Patel) demise at the foot of the stairs – aren’t we all? – and discovering he was adopted, finding out that biological dad Amit was present at Rishi’s death scene has sent him spiralling.
Despite Suni Sharma (Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana) trying to convince Jai that it was an accident, even Suni himself looked doubtful when Jai exclaimed that Amit must have killed him.
Jai was convinced that he’s murdered Rishi to keep the family’s adoption secret quiet, and like much of the village, has ostracised Amit – who ended up seeking shelter at Caleb’s flat.
In this new video, Amit has a coffee in The Hide and asks Suni if he’d like to go out for dinner with him.
Suni asks: ‘Any particular reason?’.
Amit is quick to say how difficult things have been for everyone lately, and suggests that he bring boyfriend Nicky Milligan (Lewis Cope), which touches Suni, who is still recovering from a homophobic attack.
Suni looks happy, and thanks him for trying to mend bridges.
That’s when Jai walks in, and he’s not impressed to see Amit and Suni chatting.
He demands to know what Amit is doing there, and when Suni suggested they all ‘try not being angry’, Jai snaps at him to back off.
Jai tells Amit to go, and to leave him alone.
Amit replies that it doesn’t change how he feels, as he’s Jai’s dad, and vows: ‘I won’t give up on you.’
Now Jai is set to tell Suni that the only way they can move on is if he fires him from his chef’s job at The Hide.
Will he ever accept Amit as his real father – and will his relationship with Suni be destroyed?
