He was driving when the car crashed, and he fled having framed Nicky for being in the driverâs seat.
However Ethanâs guilt got the better of him and he confessed to dad Charles who promptly turned him into the police.
But with Ethan making the mistake of sharing a laugh with his dad in the street, the three were utterly furious.
Storming over, a struggling Ruby demanded to know: âWhat are you laughing at?
âNo really, what are you laughing at because my son is fighting for his life in hospital and you think everything is a big joke.
Ethan told them: âSorry. Ruby, I donât want any trouble.â
âAre you for real?â added Caleb.
And then Cain warned Charles: âTake him inside.â
âI just want to end him,â said Caleb as Charles led Ethan away, with Cain saying: âYou and me both.
âBut we can;ât beat him up in the street though, can we? Heâll suffer enough inside when they realise heâs a lawyer.â
âI just want him to suffer,â Caleb said.
âMe too,â added Ruby. âIf Nicky doesnât pull through he is going to wish he was dead.â
And with the knowledge that Ethan will be mown down by a speeding car tomorrow night – which one of them is responsible?
Or is it someone else who wants Ethan harmed?
